Cedar Grove Warehouse, Inc. is an aggressively growing network of SQF (food grade) warehouses (8). We utilize our own localized trucking (where needed), our own fleet of refrigerated railcars, as well as additional partner warehouses, railroad owned railcars, and contract trucking companies, to set up strategic networks across the country. We build full logistic services from point A to point B and cover everything in between. We’ve also supported logistics outside our network for additional business. Our 18 year track record has seen exponential growth from the “Mom and Pop shop” we started as, to where we are today. Nothing’s off the table for possible opportunities.

Job Description

We are looking for the right individual specializing in food logistics, warehousing sales, and customer service. They will be responsible for establishing relationships with new customers through cold calls and internal leads as well as building on established partnerships to continue growing existing business. This sales individual will be part of an internal operational team setting up new business, understanding existing business, and the processes involved with each logistical and warehousing aspect we provide. Outlined duties include, but are not limited to;

  • Maintain and develop relationships with our existing customers through regular contact by travel, zoom/team meetings, e-mail or phone calls. This may include trade shows or direct travel to their locations or ours.
  • Compile and maintain new customer information through daily cold calls from internal leads, business directories, colleague and industry contacts, and references for planning and executing new business development.
  • Review sales achievements quarterly with management and set goals accordingly with continued mentorship.
  • Excellent communication and having a strong understanding of customers and their expectations. This along with working together within our CGW network to ensure each aspect of our business is achieved at the highest possible level translates to great customer service. That may include working with our Railroad Manager, various site Warehouse Facilitators and Supervisors, Operations Director, Accounting, IT Manager, Dispatchers, Inventory Control Specialists, Compliance Manager, Maintenance, and the President.
  • Ensure cost calculations are accurate and competitive, by utilizing all available resources – internal and external – to provide quotations and terms to customers.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Use of current technologies and avenues of networking and lead generating, including the use of Microsoft Office software
  • Motivated, energetic, customer focused individual
  • Build trust with customers to ensure all needs committed to are met
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Driven by results, but patient enough to work through the entire sales process
  • Rail Industry and or Trucking Industry and Warehousing knowledge needed. Rail or Trucking experience would be acceptable with the aptitude to learn the other. Knowing both would be a plus. We’ll work with the right person and get them dialed in.
  • Strong attention to detail. There are a lot of moving parts with what we do.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 5 years of experience in Logistics (trucking or rail), or warehousing sales with an emphasis on logistics.
  • Warehouse operational fulfillment experience and understanding WMS/TMS functionality a plus

This is a salaried position dependent on experience and productivity with annual reviews and bonus potential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
